This week we were visited by 52 Lives, a charity that aims to spread kindness and empower children to make a big difference to someone’s life.
The children were told about Ruby, 8 and George, 5 who have an extremely poorly sister. Unfortunately she spends a lot of time in and out of hospital and family events and holidays have to be cancelled. Both children never complain or get annoyed and 52 lives felt they needed to know how special they are.
The children worked together to create something special for Ruby and George. Some of the children recorded video messages, along with cards, letters, poems, games and much more. The love and kindness demonstrated by the children of Meredale will make a huge difference to those children.
“I learnt about kindness and what people are going through,” Rachel year 4.
“We learnt how other people suffer and we got to help them,” Imogen year 5.
