Remembrance Service 2018

Our Remembrance Service was held this morning in school with almost 18 veterans in attendance along with some of our families.

Special mentions were given to the RAF Centenary and also the close of the WW1 campaign. The veterans then spent some time with the children in classrooms talking about their medals, badges and countries they had visited.

One of the veterans, Kev Rourke, spoke on behalf of all of the veterans and said 'It was a lovely service, as always, the children always show so much respect. Please continue with what you are doing, you are doing a great job and thank you'.

The children have decorated stones which will be placed on the playground as a permanent fixture to mark the Centenary year.
